George Strait will quit touring....but he is NOT RETIRING!

In a press conference earlier today, Strait said after the two year Cowboy Rides Away Tour in 2013 and 2014, he will hang up the touring hat.  Strait made it very clear he will continue to write, record, and collaborate with other artists.  He also said that if a date or event he wants to play comes around, he will do a miscellaneous concert date.

George Strait is booked January 31st at the Power Balance Pavilion in Sacramento, and Q97 has tickets for you!

On the 11th anniversary of 9/11, we chose not to air our time capsule from that day.  Many of you wanted to hear it, many of you didn't.  We thought we would offer it here on the website and allow everybody to choose for themselves.  The capsule is a very rough compilation of our morning broadcast from September 11, 2001.  It was actually recorded on audio cassette and dubbed to digital stereo, thus the gritty sound quality.
